Fridays in Israel are usually very busy days for most of us. I woke this morning knowing I had much to do before the Sabbath came at nightfall. It was my regular time to get up (6: am) I had already gone outside and got the newspaper and started the coffee brewing but there was something different and I couldn’t put my finger on it, I knew I had a dream but couldn’t remember all of it, just that we were gathering Jews on a boat and sailing towards Israel.
As I was getting dressed there came over me an overwhelming desire to pray, I must have sat there on the edge of the bed for at least an hour praying, asking God what it was He wanted me to know or too do. Not having an answer or at least one I could put my finger on I went downstairs and it seemed almost without thought I went straight to the Bible and picked it up, it fell open at Isaiah 11 and my eyes began reading at the 11th verse.
And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall set his hand again the second time to recover the remnant of his people, which shall be left, from Assyria, and from Egypt, and from Pathros, and from Cush, and from Elam, and from Shinar, and from Hamath, and from the islands of the sea.
Like many others I had read this Scripture many times over the years, but this time it was being shown to me by the Ruach Ha Koddesh, it is one thing to read and understand the Word of God it is another to experience it.
This Scripture begins with “And it shall come to pass in that day,” More often than not the term in that day points to the end days before the Messiah Yeshua returns to gather His Bride. So we know right off God is talking about the time in which we now find ourselves living in. But to confirm what it is He is saying God then says, “that the Lord shall set his hand again the second time to recover the remnant of his people,” We know the budding of the fig tree or the gathering of the Jews back to the land God promised our forefathers Abraham, Isaac and Jacob happened in May of 1948, which may have been the greatest miracle of our times, the one that certainly alerted us that the end time clock had started ticking. But the important thing here is when God says he will set His hand the second time.
God is saying that there will be a second gather of Jews and He goes on to say from where. “which shall be left from Assyria, and from Egypt, and from Pathros, and from Cush, and from Elam, and from Shinar, and from Hamath, and from the islands of the sea”.
God is speaking about the Mediterranean Sea area, as well as the Black Sea area. From Russia, Turkey, and parts of Europe, in the listed area there remains over 2 million Jews and each one of them will soon be running for their lives as anti-Semitism raises its ugly head once again.
In the 12th verse we read something that was hidden from me until this day, you know we often read over words that we just don’t understand the full meaning of. But the word used here “ensign” stuck out to me and caused me to look it up in the dictionary. It means a Naval Flag, meaning of course boat or boats, could even be ship or ships.
12: And he shall set up an ensign for the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth.
God says that He will send boats or ships to pick them up and bring them to the land that he has given them as an everlasting covenant. The part of this Ministry that God didn’t show me until a little over a year ago, was the need of the groundwork it Turkey, Cyprus as well as the need to get the word out at the right time in the Jewish communities of Europe. For the Word goes on to say “and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel”. You see to have a boat and not have the Jews assembled wouldn’t do any good at all. Or for that matter to assemble them and not have the boat would also be worthless.
For those Believers who know and understand God’s love for His people and the Land He calls His own, and who have been grafted into the Jewish root that brought them God’s precious Word there is also good news. For we read in the 13th verse the following.
13th The envy also of Ephraim shall depart, and the adversaries of Judah shall be cut off: Ephraim shall not envy Judah, and Judah shall not vex Ephraim.
I think you know I could preach on this forever, but God is simply saying that by His supernatural power he will bring these two houses together, and it is my belief that this will be accomplished by the Messiah Himself. It is however interesting to note that we now have a man running for the Prime Ministers office (Netanyahu) who seems to have a great understanding of the need for Israel to embrace the Christians around the world. But this also will take a miracle for him to bring Likud out of its terrible situation in order for this to happen.
I have been thanking God all day for the precious time I was able to spend with Him in His Word this morning, to be truthful with you I needed that confirmation of His calling. It’s been what seems to be an uphill struggle to raise the needed finances to buy the larger boat. But my confidence that God is speaking to many has been re-enforced today, praise His Holy Name. We are getting very close to the needed amount to buy the larger boat, that also tells us the time is drawing very close for many things to begin that none of us will like very much. But God’s Word will not be denied,
I ask everyone reading this to spend some time in prayer today and ask God what He would have you do today.
Pray for the peace of Jerusalem, for our son Joel and all the IDF Soldiers. Pray for all those who have come to fight the Islamic enemy. Pray for this Ministry and your part in it. Shalom,
